It's A Boy!!

We had the 20 week ultrasound yesterday evening to determine the health and sex of our new little one. Everything looks like it is progressing normally and we are having a BOY! Thank you Lord! The ultrasound tech said that he is measuring about a week ahead of schedule and is looking to be tall like his daddy. :)

Beauty in the Mountains
Cody had a HeavenFest Executive Directors meeting in Estes Park this Sunday. Jason and Cassie Weber invited everyone up to stay the night before in her family's vacation home. Cody and Auburn and I were the only ones that took them up on it but we had a fun evending eating dinner at Ed's Cantina and getting icecream "combs" and fudge at one of the main street shops. The next morning we had a FABULOUS breakfast in a beautiful setting as it had snowed the night before. To highlight the day a herd of Elk moved through the national forest land just behind their house.

I'm an Auntie Again!
The Boss of Me
Auburn: Daddy, you aren't the boss of me!
Cody: Like heck I'm not the boss of you! (with force but a chuckle)
Mandy: Just out of curiosity, who IS the boss of you?
Auburn: Ummm. Daddy.
Just so we are all clear. :)

The Big Slide
We were in Wray this weekend to assist Cody's mom with the logistics of a Get The Word Out basic intensive weekend. In between brownie making and bread baking and lunch fixing and communion serving Auburn and I went to the rainbow park. I made her play while I watched from the car. Bad mom, I know. She wandered over to the BIG slide. You know the one that has been there FOREVER and that I played on as a kid even...anyway, that one. I grabbed the camera from the bag and got a few shots. She was scared at first and had to go down in my lap a couple of times. "Mom, this is going to be so GREAT!" Then she got brave enough to try it on her own. She was dissapointed because her tennis shoes were slowing her down so I had to do a couple more runs with her. Next time we'll take waxed paper to sit on. That always seemed to work back in the day. :)
