Cake story: I stayed home from church to make the cake. When Auburn got home and saw it she was very excited. I picked her up to show her and she said "Can we put fire on it?!" I told her yes and she got really excited and yelled "Unca Treece, we can put fire on it!!!"

Auburn's 3rd Birthday
Here are a few pictures of the real birthday on December 26th, 2010. Confetti cake and icecream at Grandma Bohall's house with the Bohall Aunts and Uncles around to help celebrate. Uncle Marc wasn't around but we got a phone call from him.

The Fudge Story
Cody and Auburn went to Target and were going to buy me some fudge as an "I love you and am sad you are sick" present. After looking and looking and Auburn literally running to keep up with Cody's long strides she stopped and held up her arms and said, "Daddy, my stomach hurts." Meaning she had a stitch in her side from running. :) So Cody finally asks a store person where the fudge is...apparently this lady is 50ish...and she says "Like chocolate syrup?". Noooo...fudge. "I don't know what you are asking me for." REALLY?! What female doesn't know what fudge is?! Especially at Christmas time and especially a female! Seriously! So they came home without the fudge. I informed him that Ghirardelli chocolate is an acceptable alternative if the salesperson is stumped with a FUDGE request. :)

Christmas Candy
We bought the makings for some christmas candy that called for pretzels, rolos and walnuts. Cody and I agreed that our concrete sequential daughter would probably enjoy this particular endeavor as it involved unwrapping chocolate, lining up pretzels and placing chocolate precisely. And then there is the fun of the snacking. She got about 10 candies open and several pretzels down her mouth before she told me she was done. Not bad.

Ewww!
What do you do? Cody took Auburn’s diaper off this morning before she could soak it through, just left the PJs on w/o panties. She doesn’t get the bathroom before making a mess, and it drops out the leg of her PJs onto the floor. Before I can do damage control, the dog takes care of the problem….
Patti's response: Oh son! WE all ooooooed and laughed!! Dad said you better write that one into the books! I bet there were no kisses for Fella!! Thanks son for the laughs. love mom

Allbritten Family Halloween Party

We were invited to Jerad's brother's Halloween Party in Johnstown. It was a costume party and adults and kids alike were dressed to the "9's". We had a good time eating, drinking, dancing, scaring, and breaking the pinata. Thanks for the invite! Primarily pictured are Jen and John Jaquish, Kristie and Jerad Allbritten, Mandy, Cody and Auburn Bohall, Michelle and Dvae Stewart.

Unbirthday Prep...
We are having an unbirthday party for Auburn tomorrow as she didn't get a party on her birthday for her 2 year and won't get one for her three year. Here are some pictures of the preparations. Kati is icing the cakes and I snagged decorations from Stephanie Phipps's baby shower (made by the Rhoades ladies) and saved them for months to use at this party. All I needed to add were balloons. The HUGE picture frame is the one from Robbin Kelly's wedding (also created with love by Jeanne Rhodes).

This is fun and Tlater
Cody just decided to go for a walk with Auburn. I sent them out in coat, hat and "clubs" to Auburn's squeal of delight and cry of "This is FUN!".
An Unrelated Observation: Auburn mimicks what we say quite a bit as I'm sure that most kids do. Recent phrases include "Of Course!" and "Ok lets do that tlater." We are't sure where the t in tlater came from but the guess is that it stems from "Let's wait until later" Which we slur to "Let's wait till later" and she hears as "Let's wait tlater".
So...Tlater!

Wild West Corn Maze
Our friend Kyle Ostrand has been heavily involved with the Guennis World Record Wild West Corn Maze in Hudson Colorado. Just up the road on I-76. We took off a few minutes early from work this past Thursday and took Auburn to check it out. They has EVERYTHING there fun to do. Pumpkin patch, zip line, corn mazes, petting zoo, paintball, haystacks, canon thingies, and concessions. I think I got a few good shots and we had fun. Auburn even led us through the kids maze without too much trouble.
Berry Patch Farms 2 days in a row
Went to Berry Patch Farms 9/30 with the neighbor boy, Joseph Hanggi, and Auburn and picked red raspberries. Auburn loves to follow Joseph everywhere and torment him as only a younger sister can. Great neighbors that we are going to miss when they move next month.
While we were there eating our picnic Wendy's kids meals, Sherelle called to ask if we wanted to join them there the next day. SURE. 10/1 found us back at the farm this time picking both Red and Gold Raspberries. Never had a Gold one before. They were sweeter in taste than the red. Super yumm.
