He loves her SO much

Easton adores his big sister. Wherever she goes in the house he goes too. If sis has something to eat or drink, he wants the same. He trustingly puts his arms around her neck when she lifts him down from his high chair while I cringe in the background wanting to allow her to be a big girl and help but worried that someone is going to be dropped and crying will ensue. When Auburn is in timeout for taking something away from him, or hitting him, or yelling at him, Easton goes to sit on the step with her. He crys when we drop her off at TaeKwonDo and don't go in with her. He gets so excited when I say "Let's go get Auburn" at the end of her preschool day. He slides right down the steps and heads straight for the garage door. He loves her SO much...and, praise God, she loves him too.

Easton's favorite place

Again Already?!

My calender reminder popped up to let me know that it was Thursday and I needed to blog. REALLY?! Again already? No wonder I never blogged last year. The week went by in the space of about two days in my opinion. So what happened in these "two days"? No idea. Really it is a blur. I'm sure Auburn made it to TaeKwonDo and Preschool on the appropriate days. I'm sure that everyone ate each day. There is no mound of laundry either in the dirty pile or clean pile so that must have gotten done. Oh, Auburn did get sick last Thursday. Flu like symptoms with one vomiting episode. She was better by Tuesday but I got Easton out of a pukey bed yesterday morning. Was that just yesterday? Hmmm. Anyway, everyone seems to be just fine today. Cody has been on a cleanse this week and is about to go stir crazy after two days of a liquid only diet. It's hard on a big man to not eat food. I did see him cheat today. He had a handfull of walnuts. I let it slide. Pics below...OH YEAH! Looking at the pictures made me remember, we went to the Rodeo on Saturday. AaaK, Uncle Andy, Aunt Lainey and Mr. Onyi were there with us. Cody stayed home because he was sick a little and because he wanted to watch the Broncos win in the playoffs (except they lost).

Likes and Dislikes

Easton can often be found sitting or crawling on top of the kitchen table. Auburn can most often be found watching Netflix in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Currently Cody can most often be found primarily at work and secondarily watching the TV series "Mad Men". I tease him that it is a soap opera and he doesn't like that analogy. My current favorite place to be is in the shower reading a romance and having a drink. Yes shower, not bath. Pure skill keeps the book from getting wet. If Easton is crying it is most likely because he hit his head on something, again. If Auburn is crying it is most likely because Easton hit her or messed up the TV by pushing buttons on the remote. If I'm crying it's most likely because Easton or Auburn are crying. :)

A New Year: More Posts?

It has been four months since my last post. I have been woefully slack this past year with that. It's so easy to post to facebook from my phone all of the pictures and little sayings. BUT, you can't print facebook (that I'm aware of anyway) for posterity so I'm going to try (not guarantee) to post on my blog a little more frequently. So Auburn is 5 now. We are still on vacation from her two main activities. She attends PreSchool at Community Christian School on Tuesdays and Thursdays and she takes TaeKwonDo at Universal TaeKwonDo Monday-Thursdays. Auburn is now a yellow belt in the Little Dragons class and really enjoys her friends there. Easton and I go each day and watch during her 30 minute class. Super E really likes to run on the mats before the class starts and he also likes to punch the kicking dummy. He has good form on the punches actually but he knocks himself down with the force about half the time. Need to work on balance a bit. :) Easton is starting to talk. Still missing a few teeth and he is now 16 months old. His words right now are Uhoh, GO!, Ba (for anything to drink), ba (for ball), ba (for banana), ba (for bath), ba for a lot of things really, ouch, mama, dada, aubu and no. He attempts other words but is really not making any sounds past the first couple of letters of a word. His favorite food a month ago was the applesauces that come in the squeeze pouches but he is now enamored with Gogurts (yogurt in a plastic tube). He signs hungry and please and points and fusses for anything else that he wants. Cody has started the new year as an employer of four. If you count Cody and I, Studio 8.18 Engineering now has 6 employees. A big jump in a year. Last year at this time it was still just Cody and I and we were still in the basement. Right now we are renting space at a building in the Highlands (32nd and Tejon) in Denver. I (Mandy) am no longer keeping regular office hours. I'm doing "freelance" marketing for the company. My most recent project was the company Christmas Card. We did a 1960s photoshoot and had the card designed to mimic the feel of the television show Mad Men which is popular now. We've had many comments from clients lauding it as the best christmas card of 2012. I guess my efforts were worthwhile. That is the short update and here are a few pictures as well.
