Flowers make it better
I had a sucky day. Something went wrong in almost every area of my life excluding my marriage. Nothing huge, just not fun stuff. I called Cody to cry on his shoulder a bit and felt better after. When he walked in the door after his meeting he had with him a large bouquet of beautiful flowers. Flowers make it better. Due to the inspiration of MayDae http://www.maydae.com/ I choose to put the beautiful blooms in an antique silver coffee pot that is severely tarnished but it works for this. Georgous!

I need MEDICINE!
What kid likes medicine?! Mine apparently. Auburn currently has a double ear infection so we picked up some amoxicilin at Target and she couldn't WAIT to have some medicine. I gave her a dose and she loved it. Now if you mention the word or if she sees it in the fridge then she very loudly informs me that "I need Medicine!".
Another funny was that last night Auburn and I were watching a movie in "mommydaddy's bed" and Cody came up with some Peanut M&M's. Auburn looked in the bag and said with wide eyes, "Peanut Somes!". So she can identify peanunt M&M's but still calls them somes because she always wants some. :)

Auburn's 1st Baseball Game
Last Sunday was a BEAUTIFUL day and who can resist a baseball game on opening weekend when it is sunny and 80 degrees out. After church Cody and Auburn and I headed down to the ballpark to pick up tickets and watch batting practice. We got there early enough to get a parking spot on the street 2 blocks from Coors Field and because it was Sunday parking meters are free. Bonus! We bought burritos, peanuts and drinks from the vendors outside the park and took our lunch in to watch the Rockies warm up. In the end Auburn made it to the end of the 3rd inning but in fairness including batting practice and all we had been at the park for four hours. It was a successful day I think!

Night Out @ Sing Sing
Cody and I had a great (and rare) night out at Sing Sing in downtown Denver. Sing Sing is a fairly crass but entertaining dueling panio bar across the street from Coors Field. Cody and I went down with Jen & John Jaquish and Cassie & Jason Weber as well as with Cassie's brother Wade and cousin Jess. It was a lot of fun and there was even a camio by a very crazily dressed marching type band who played Holla Back. Very fun and great entertainment. Part of the deal there is to request songs. We didn't request a song but we did request that they get Big John on stage to do the splits. A couple of the players know John so they wanted to see this too and got him up there. You haven't seen amazing until you see a 6'3" 350lb guy do the full splits!
