There's a Baby Goat in my House!

Baby Goats in the house you say?! Yup, two of them just 3 hours old. Sherelle and Ryan brought their new farm family additions for Auburn and the rest of small group to hold and pet and ahhh over. They were amazingly loud and sounded a lot like babies when they cried. Notice Auburn covering her ears. :) They were also sooo soft!

New to the World - Dallie Bohall

Cody's New Toy

It feels like spring and Cody is more than ready to get the garden in. But we needed 2 pickup loads of sand to amend into the soil and another pickup load of compost. And how do you mix all of that fun together? A tiller of course! Can't rent one at Home Depot because Cody had a bad experience there so buying one is the only option for him. Checked Craigs list, a day late on the two good options. Checked the pawn shops. Nothing good there. Checked Lowes, only the dinky ones available. Sears Grande wasn't open yet. Only option left?! The dreaded Home Depot! But they had what he wanted at the right price. Check out THE NEW TOY!




In Operation after only 2.5 hours of putting it together. Only a few special words slipped out. :)

A "abor"

Auburn asked Cody on the way to breakfast this morning if he would do her a "abor".

Cody: A "favor" honey?
Auburn: Yeah daddy, a "fabor".
Cody: Sure what do you want?
Auburn: A "FABOR"!
Cody: I know but what favor?
Auburn: I don't know. A fabor.

I guess any old "fabor" will do...

Barnyard Fun

We visited Shayne and Riley Thompson at their house today. They have baby chicks, baby turkeys, pregnant goats, and a horse named Oatie. Auburn was so excited to hold a baby chick! She held it for a couple of pictures before it did something that scared her and she basically threw it to the ground. Not too interested in holding animals after that. The goat tried to nibble on my diamond ring but was unsuccessful. :) We are going to go back to visit the farm when the baby goats come!
